Being in front of a camera is not easy for most of us, but I see something beautiful, cool or interesting in everybody and I know how to capture it. Whether you are wanting a fine-art style portrait session or just need to update your old business headshot, if you can follow instructions, I can take care of the rest.
See below for the answers to a few frequently asked questions, such as what to wear.

A good headshot isn’t just a picture of your face - anyone can click the shutter. The headshots that I create for my clients are about branding. Non-verbal communication is an extremely powerful tool and being ahead of the game will make a difference in your business and professional world. A great headshot makes people think: “That is someone I want to work with.”

I help you stand out and look professional with natural headshots that resonate with people. What is more, I get results quickly: your shoot won't take up too much of your day.

What should I wear?
The clothing you choose for your portrait session is important to the success of your final images. Here are a few tips for what works well.

When will I receive my photos?
Once you've chosen your favourite images, retouched corporate profile photos are generally delivered (via WeTransfer) within two working days if there are 1-2 subjects.
If you have time, we can go through the photographs together after the shoot to make your selections for editing, so you know you've got what you want before you leave. Alternatively, I will create a private online gallery from which you can make your decisions in your own time.
With multiple subjects, you can expect to have your photographs back within a week of letting me know your group's selections. Again, it is possible to shoot tethered to a laptop, so each subject can choose their favourite images directly after the shoot if time permits.

Should I book a hair and makeup artist?
It’s by no means essential but a good makeup artist can make a world of difference when combined with a good headshot photographer. I can organise on-site services for you at my Brooklyn studio from a hair and makeup artist who is expert in delivering a natural look that complements your features. Allow around an hour for hair and makeup.
On-site hair and makeup touchups are also available for larger corporate shoots at your offices: allow 10-15 minutes per person for a quick pre-shoot touchup to get you camera-ready (see Optional Add-ons under Pricing).

Terms + Conditions
I use the standard New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography (NZIPP) Terms and Conditions, which can be viewed here.

Catherine was great taking my headshots, very accommodating and patient with me. She gave great directions on how to sit and stand etc to get the perfect picture and I genuinely couldn’t be happier with the outcome!
